Granovshchina is a village in the Irkutsk district of the Irkutsk region of Russia. It is part of the Urikovsky municipality.
It is located about 20 km north of Irkutsk. Name: Granovshchina - by the name of Senka and Matyushka Granins, who in the 1680s (XVII century), by the decree of Irkutsk Provincial Chancellery received permission to settle in the area for cultivation of agriculture.
Their father Agey Fedorov Granin founded the village Karluk near Irkutsk.
There is a charity organization in Granovshchina - the Tikhomirov Foundation, whose main task is the rehabilitation of children with disabilities through horseback riding.
