Online camera Tyumen. Arrow Bridge
A few years ago in Tyumen the opening of the direct passage of the traffic interchange on Maurice Thorez Street - the new bridge "Arrow".
The length of the overpass with numerous exits and entrances was 6.5 km. From above the viaduct will resemble a huge cloverleaf. It is designed as a two-level viaduct with the purpose of increasing the capacity of transport and elimination of traffic jams. Speed of movement on this area, as specialists assure, will reach 80 km/hour. Sidewalks at this junction are not provided for traffic safety. A special overground and four underpasses will be built for pedestrians.
It should be reminded that the old two-lane bridge has been in operation for more than 50 years and has already become morally and physically obsolete. The new overpass will serve the Tyumen citizens twice as long, due to the modern technologies and materials: the spans are made of metal, and the monolithic supports are of prestressed concrete. The interchange on Morisa Toreza Street will significantly reduce the traffic load on the central streets of the city.
It should be noted that the construction of a six-lane viaduct over the Sverdlovsk railroad is conducted by Aerodromdorstroy group of companies by order of the administration of the Tyumen region. The engineering supervision of the project, supply of formwork and other materials are provided by PromStroyUral.
It is to be reminded that the construction of the new traffic center with a viaduct in its center had been delayed for almost five years (the first object of the interchange, an overpass over the railroad, was opened by the Governor Vladimir Yakushev on November 26, 2007). According to the official version, the delay was caused by the uncoordinated actions of subcontractors; according to the unofficial version, it was caused by the stubbornness of owners of wooden houses and land plots located within the construction zone. It was reported that one of the owners requested 300 million rubles for demolition of his house and a small plot of land.
