Lyttelton is a small port city in New Zealand. Located on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand on the shore of the bay of the same name (Lyttelton Harbour), it is a suburb of Christchurch (the distance to it in a straight line is about 1.5 km), which is located on the other side of the Port Hills. The port of Lyttelton serves a large number of large cruise liners and merchant ships: it handles 34% of the South Island's exports and 61% of its imports.
