Trikala lies 331 kilometers northwest of the capital Athens and 215 kilometers southwest of Thessaloniki, the second largest city of the country. Here, as in most other ancient Greek cities, antiquity is tightly interwoven with modernity, leaving the impression of traveling back in time.
