Golden Beach is the most popular beach on Thassos island and is located on the bay of Chrisi Ammoudia on the northeast coast of the island.
The beach is about 3km long and is lined by a number of small hotels, restaurants, bars and cafes. It has golden fine sand, hence its name - Golden Beach. There are opportunities for diving, scuba diving, windsurfing and wakeboarding.
Since Golden Beach is the most popular beach on Thassos, it receives many visitors, especially during the high tourist season. The webcam is located at the 5* Island View Villa Hotel, on a hill just north of the beach, facing Golden Beach.
