Webcam Figueira da Foz. Buarcos Beach
Figueira da Foz is a city located right in the center of the country, not far from Coimbra, famous for its long white sand beaches and very pleasant sea climate. The city is the second largest in the Coimbra District and the sixth largest seaport in Portugal, behind the seaports of Sines, Leixões, Lisbon, Setubal and Aveiro. Figueira da Foz is part of the economic and statistical region of Portugal's Central Region and the Baixo-Mondegu subregion. In turn, the city's population is only 28 thousand people, which is significantly small compared to such a half-million metropolitan areas as Lisbon and Porto.
Figueira da Foz is a small secluded paradise, a small and very beautiful resort in Portugal. The main advantages of the city are nature, golden sandy beaches and fish markets.
The sandy beach of Buarcos is the most famous attraction for visitors. Figueira's city beach, Praia da Claridade, flows seamlessly into the beach of Buarcos, which in turn is separated from the sandy beach of Praia de Ciayos, which continues northward, Cabo Mondego. Buarcos is under the Serra da Boa Viagem forest, with its hiking and biking trails, rock climbing park, guided restaurants and viewpoints.
