Hamburg Airport is an international airport located in the suburb of Fulsbüttel, 8.5 km north of the center of Germany's second largest city. It serves as a hub for Germanwings, Condor, TUIfly, EasyJet and is one of the five busiest airports in the country. The annual passenger traffic of the Hamburg airport is more than 17 million people.
The airport has flights to 88 destinations, including three non-stop flights to Dubai, Newark and Tehran.
In the early 1990s, a program to expand the complex, called HAM21. The result was the emergence of a new Terminal 1 and the pier, construction of the atrium Airport Plaza. In 2009, the Radisson Blu Hotel was completed, and the track to the city and the S-Bahn branch of the Hamburg Metropolitan Railway were also put into operation.
