Webcam Can Pastilla. Harbor and beach (Balearic Islands, Spain)
Can Pastilla (Mallorca) is a small resort town very close to Palma de Mallorca, which can be said to have been the starting point of the island's tourist business around the beginning of the 1960s. The resort enjoys great popularity among German tourists, so many bars and restaurants are focused precisely on them.
By the way, the resort also owes its name to one of the once popular local bars.
"High season" here lasts from May to late September, but at other times in the Can-Pastille can have a good rest: the climate is generally very mild, and many hotels have indoor pools.
Adornment of the center of town is the church of St. Anthony, from which through narrow streets or rather - even lanes - you can descend to the long promenade, which stretches along the beaches and reaches the resort Arenal, but if the latter - a resort for a noisy youth vacation, then the Can Pastilla - resort is more respectable, designed for family holidays. There are many park areas where you can hide from the sun.
However, this does not mean that you can not go shopping, go to the disco or do something else interesting: there are nightclubs, discos and stores.
Arenal is easily accessible on foot - or... by train. Tourist Train 52 in Can Pastilla is another attraction. It runs along the promenade that connects Can-Pastilla and Arenal into virtually one resort, and you can admire the coastal area from the train's windows.
The fare in route 52 of Can-Pastilla is 3.5 euros round trip; the train makes 44 stops along the way, but you can only get off once.
There are many bicycle, car and motorcycle rentals in the town, and many tourists agree that it is hard to find a more interesting and enjoyable activity than a bike ride from Can Pastilla to Palma.
The coastline of the town stretches for 3.6 kilometers along the sea and is characterized by sandy beaches, a harbor, and a coastal natural area with small sandy coves and rocky outcrops to the sea, along which there is a hiking trail.
