Isla Canela is located in the province of Huelva, between the Andalusian coast and the Portuguese resort of the Algarve. The wide beaches of this island are covered with fine golden sand. From the cold ocean currents, the coastal zone is fenced off by the current of the Guadiana River, along which the border separating Spain and Portugal passes. At the mouth of the river, extensive shallow water is formed, the waters remain calm in any weather and warm until November.
