Kavatsite beach is one of the most popular beaches in the resort town of Sozopol and is located on the shore of the Black Sea Bay, 4 km south of the center of Sozopol. The beach is surrounded by many poplar trees and gets its name from the Turkish word "kavak" which means "poplar".

The beach with fine golden sand is about 2 km long and 40 meters wide. Entrance to the sea here is gentle, and the bottom is sandy. On the beach there is a rental umbrellas and deck chairs, cabins for changing clothes, toilets, and along the beach there are many restaurants and cafes. There is a parking lot next to the beach, as well as two camping sites - "Kavatsite" and "Smokinite". Sozopol is the oldest town on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast - its first mention dates back to 610 BC.

It is situated on a small peninsula flowing into the Black Sea, 34 km southeast of Burgas. Today Sozopol is one of the most popular resorts in Bulgaria, thanks to its magnificent sandy beaches, developed tourism infrastructure and warm Mediterranean climate.
